The Old Bear is a traditional English restaurant based in Taunton and is run by husband and wife team Michael & Karen Roderick.
Since its opening in 1991 this charming family restaurant has offered a unique warm and welcoming atmosphere to compliment its deliciously simple cuisine.
Whether you’re a large party celebrating with friends or a couple seeking a romantic dinner for two The Old Bear provides a classical dining experience for any occasion.
We are situated on the main A38 directly opposite County Hall with free parking available in Shire Hall parallel to the Police Station.
The Old Bear is also available to hire for meetings, weddings or large celebrations. Please contact by phone for further information.
The restaurant is open for dinner on Tuesday through to Saturday evenings.
We are also open on Sundays from 12.30 for Sunday lunch.
